Pattern Stories Moa
With Pattern Stories, we embrace a specific wallpaper design and tell the story behind the pattern. We want to show the craftsmanship that leads to the finished wallpaper. We call this Swedish Wallpaper Art.
Moa's story
This time, we want to tell the story of our pattern Moa. Our skilled designer, Karolina Kroon, named the wallpaper after her daughter, who was still in the womb when Karolina drew the design.
The design is inspired by classic Toile de Jouy, historical patterns known for their intricate details. Karolina drew a fantasy jungle with exotic plants and animals with a thin ink pen. The thin, hand-drawn lines contrast beautifully against the background.
The result is a timeless pattern with a classic motif in contemporary color schemes, making it equally wonderful in a dining room as in a children's room.
"I fantasized about pictures as a kid, especially my grandmother's wall hangings. In the same way, I want the animals and landscape in the wallpaper to encourage conversation and imagination."
