Pattern Stories Snickarglädjen & Lovisaslind

With Pattern Stories, we embrace a specific wallpaper design and tell the story behind the pattern. We want to show the craftsmanship that leads to the finished wallpaper. We call this Swedish Wallpaper Art.

This time, we tell the story of our patterns, Inger & Ulla, which we created with the talented creators @snickargladjen (Johanna Berglund) and @lovisaslind (Evelina Lovisa Lind). With a shared passion for design and timeless nature-inspired patterns, we created two romantic floral designs in several lovely color schemes.

The story behind the patterns

On a beautiful late summer day, we visited Snickarglädjen's home. The garden was still in full bloom, and the front door stood wide open, welcoming us inside. Two bouquets thoughtfully and artfully arranged by the duo sparked our conversations and ideas.

"Johanna and Evelina's exquisite talent for decorating the various rooms within their gardens has been a profound inspiration for us."

The designs inspired by the bouquets are dedicated to Snickarglädjen's and Lovisaslind's beloved grandmothers. We aim to pay tribute to all grandparents, mothers, and fathers who have laid the foundation for the next generation's interest in cultivation and gardening.

"I love flowers in all their forms! And the person who has taught me everything I know is my grandmother, Inger. We often strolled through Hasselbackarna together and sat on the sofa, losing ourselves in botanical books."

Inger

"The Japanese anemone holds a special place in my heart. I love how it blooms so beautifully just as autumn begins to take over and much else in the garden falls silent."

Ulla

"Some do wallpaper, we do wallpaper art."
