Le Village

Have you ever dreamt of escaping to the French countryside, discovering the lush green foothills of the Pyrenees? Imagine the tinkle of sheep bells as a shepherd guides his flock down a shaded avenue of ancient Sycamore trees. And lazy afternoons spent picking figs in an orchard by a mountain stream.

Some do wallpaper. We do Swedish Wallpaper Art.

Le Village references antique French Domino, wood-block, and Les Indiennes patterns. Melded with the delicate hand-painted Swedish expressions that have characterized Sandberg's designs since the beginning. Elegance meets rustic, but with just enough whimsy to whisk you away to a fairy tale village in the French countryside.

The simple details of country flowers set in a scallop shell motif form a subtle pattern that creates intimacy without being too visually demanding. The scallop shell is a symbol of the pilgrim, worn on the rucksacks of hikers that pass through the Béarn region on the famous Camino de Santiago, also known as the Way of St James.
