Description
Ekeblad is a reinterpretation of the Gustavian style and reflects the feeling and expression in 18th century decor. Here we have been inspired by Eva De La Gardie (married Ekeblad), who in the mid 18th century lived in Stola Manor and became the first woman to be elected into the Swedish Academy of Sciences. This pattern pays tribute to Eva and her successful work. Wallpaper from this period was often produced by a combination of printing and hand painting, which was applied to a distemper-painted bottom.
